honeymoon: Paris

We spent the last half of our honeymoon in France – Paris and Normandy.

Paris, the city of lights, love and pick pocketing. We stayed at an airbnb in Rue Saint-Martin, where the host’s aunt, who was the kindest woman, greeted us. She spoke in French the entire time as she went over the rules and showed us around the area.

If we weren’t victims of pick pocketing, I may have enjoyed the city more. Enjoyed the evening stroll to Sacré-Cœur and immersed myself in the breathe-taking views I’ve heard and longed to see for so long. The drive to Normandy and the calmness of the town really helped put me in a better mood. If you find yourself in Normandy, stay at Hôtel Tardif Guesthouse – so charming. We spent our few days there enjoying what the town had to offer and visiting historical sites. All in all, an experience I’ll cherish.
